TONY LAIDLAW
SOPRANO
Tony Laidlaw joined Penicuik Silver Band in 1972 initially on cornet, moving to soprano two years later. He took a break from banding to concentrate on his principal instrument, the French Horn, returning to Penicuik in 1996, eventually moving back to soprano cornet.
In addition to brass banding, Tony has taken up an appointment as one of Her Majesty's State Trumpeters in Scotland.
